Barter is a smart option for businesses of all sizes, especially if

- your competitors have advantages or leverage over you
- your company's product/service profit margins are at least 30%
- you can increase production without increased fixed costs
- you have accounts receivable collection difficulties.
Southern Barter Exchange members are credited in "trade dollars" when they sell goods or services to other members. In turn, these trade dollars can be used to buy goods or services from another member. Trade dollars are credited dollar-for-dollar according to the retail cash price. Southern Barter Exchange members pay a one-time registration fee. A small transaction fee is assessed for each transaction.
